In news that will delight automotive fans in general and Porsche enthusiasts in particular, RM Sotheby’s has announced that a very special car will hit the auction block at the end of May 2017. Produced in only 51 models, the 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 is already a rare gem. But this vehicle is also one of only two race-derived RSRs with a fully trimmed interior. And to top it all off, it also comes with just six miles on board.
The car is in a pristine and completely original condition and it still carries the factory-applied Cosmoline rust protective coating. Inside, the lucky new owner will find Guards Red leather upholstery which covers not only the seats, but also the steering wheel, dashboard and door caps. Powered by a 3.8-litre type M64/04 RSR-specific engine, this beauty reaches 0–60 mph in 3.7 seconds. That’s faster than a Ferrari F40. If you have around 2.2 million Euros lying around, you can grab this gem at the Villa Erba auction, which takes place on May 27 2017. Source and photo credits: RM Sotheby’s.
