Simple yet complex at the same time, the new Aalto regulator watch from Deutsche Uhrenfabrik (DuFa) stands out from the crowd with its refined aesthetic and intriguing design. The timepiece blends vintage and Bauhaus design cues in a slightly rounded stainless steel case. The face boasts a dark gray tone and a subtle textured finish. Minimalist and elegant, the dial features the DuFa logo at the 12-hour mark – the logo also appears on the end of the push/pull crown – and separate subdials for the hour and minute hands. Slender hands enhance the stylish design. The minute hand’s tip curves downwards to follow the edge of the dial, creating a three-dimensional effect.
The timepiece comes with a Miyota 8217 movement, a 42-hour power reserve, a curved hesalite lens, and a custom motor which boasts a dark, muted blue color with silver metallic letters. The black leather strap has a matte surface and also features embossed lettering on the back. You can find DuFa Aalto on the brand’s official website at a price of around $570.
