Dutch Mountain House by Denieuwegeneratie Design

Dutch design studio Denieuwegeneratie did some amazing work on the Dutch Mountain House, this underground house is embedded beneath a mound of Earth at a Dutch nature reserve. The furniture of the interiors has a heavy vintage feel; the kitchen table’s feet are made out of old public trash cans, the staircase steps are made of state decks working together with the teapot chandelier, showing all the attention paid to of the décor. A large glass façade allows the sun to warm the concrete shell; the thermal mass keeps this warmth and cools the house in the summer. The wooden cantilever regulates the sun and is the only visible architecture in the landscape.
