The Dulce Lamp

View all 9 Photos

A lamp that marries Art Deco influences with contemporary design.

Distinctive and refined, the Dulce lamp brings together retro and subtly futuristic design cues. Designer Filippo Mambretti created the lighting for San Francisco-based Gantri, a brand that uses modern tech and innovative manufacturing techniques to bring designer lighting to life. The lamp draws inspiration from Streamline Moderne, “a late type of Art Deco that emphasized curved edges, smooth surfaces, long horizontal lines, subdued colors, and maritime themes,” says designer Filippo Mambretti. Dulce also pays homage to “those brilliant minds that disrupted the design world during the Great Depression, whose dreams helped the people recover,” the designer adds.

Dulce has a minimalist design that makes the most of simple volumes. In this case, a cylinder and a single disc that illuminates with a warm glow. 3D-printed from PLA, which is a corn-based material, the Dulce lamp is both premium quality and eco-friendly. The material boasts a matte finish for an extra touch of style. A translucent 3D printed PLA diffuser and a fabric cord with a dimmer switch are also included. The lamp suits any area of the home, from bedrooms and living rooms to entryways. Available now in Gantri’s online store, the Dulce lamp comes in Snow, Sand, and Fog colors. Photographs© Gantri.
