UNStudio was established in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos. The studio aims to address societal challenges brought about by urbanization through streamlined, solutions-based, and sustainable design. The firm has a wide range of specialties in architectural design and development, including interiors, product design, infrastructural and urban development projects, to name a few.
UNStudio holds office in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Melbourne, with hundreds of employees coming from 27 countries. Along with founders van Berkel and Bos, its management team also includes Astrid Piber, Gerard Loozekoot, and Hannes Pfau, including the support of a number of directors and associate directors.
