Unemori Architecture was founded by Hiroyuki Unemori. Hiroyuki Unemori was born in the Okayama Prefecture in Japan, in the year 1979. He graduated from the Yonago National College of Technology and also had a degree and graduated from the Yokohama National University. Hiroyuki completed the Masters course at the Yokohama National University.
He then worked at Taira Nishizawa Architects, and in the year 2009, he established Unemori Architects. Since then the firm has received the following awards: Fukushima Architecture Prize (37th place); JIA Tohoku Architecture Prize (1st place); Japan Library Architecture Award (36th place); BCS Prize (61st place); AIJ Annual Architectural Design Commendation, and many others.
