Schemata Architects was established in 1998 by Jo Nagasaka, following his graduation from the Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2007, he put up HAPPA, a shared creative office space. Nagasaka’s architectural studio is currently headquartered in Aoyama, one of Tokyo’s most stylish areas.
Apart from architecture, his design sensibilities are translated across other areas like furniture. Naagasaka’s work faithfully follows the 1:1 scale, no matter the size of the project. His work is widespread across Japan as well as the rest of the world. He continues to expand his work and design style and activity in a variety of fields.
