Phillip Island, Australia
Architect Richard Stampton established his eponymous studio in 2009 in Phillip Island, Australia. Before opening his own architecture practice, he worked with Renzo Piano in Paris and Peter Corrigan in Melbourne. Believing in creating a connection between a site’s culture and contemporary architecture, the architect creates designs that are sophisticated, quiet, and innovative but always anchored in their context to contribute to the enrichment of the local site – on multiple levels. Richard Stampton’s work is varied and ranges from residential buildings to commercial spaces, community schools, and temporary camping sites.
