Practica Arquitectura is an architectural design office founded in 2017 by David Martínez in the city of Monterrey, NL. Within the workshop, architecture is understood as a trade, a plural reflection attentive to history and emotions.
Practica Arquitectura wants to achieve a dialogue where pre-existence, construction tradition, and the making of places/spaces are discussed. The interest in history is a key principle in their work, understanding and reinterpreting it brings them closer to the rigor of the technique and the abstraction of learned ideas to broaden their understanding. Practica Arquitectura won competitions such as the Citizen Garden in Monterrey (2017) and the design of the UNACH University Design Center in Chiapas.
