Naho Kubota was born in Iida, Japan. Based in New York, the artist and architectural photographer collaborate with international publications, design and architecture studios, and various cultural institutions. From editorial work to architecture commissions and personal series, her photography has an ethereal beauty and is full of poetry.
Color, shadows, and reflections also play an important part in the photographer’s artful compositions. Throughout her career, Naho Kubota has worked with many renowned clients, including Patricia Urquiola, Droog, AIA New York Chapter, and Vitra, among many others. Her work has been exhibited widely, including at the powerHouse Arena in New York, the Istanbul Design Biennial, and the Artcomplex Center of Tokyo.
