Maris Mezulis

Maris Mezulis is a photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist based in Canada. After studying cinema at York University in Toronto, he started working as a graphic designer and visual artist with Bruce Mau Design. As part of his work with the design studio, he created video installations for events at Vitra Design Museum in Basel and the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, among others. In 2003, he established his own studio through which he collaborates with international architecture firms, designers, and artists. His background in video production and film-making has influenced the style of his architectural photography, which explores patterns and visual phenomena. Maris Mezulis’ work has appeared in many books and publications, including T: The New York Times Style Magazine and Frame. Apart from photography, Maris Mezulis also also creates films, installations, and videos for events like the Toronto International Film Festival and the Venice Architecture Biennale.
