Founded in 2004 in Málaga by Mané Sánchez la Chica and Adolfo de la Torre Prieto, marinauno is an architecture studio that has garnered significant recognition in the design world. The firm has a distinguished portfolio that has been exhibited in various shows and featured in specialized publications. Their accolades include winning the first prize in an international competition for building 140 social housing units in Málaga, as well as awards for their work in the Trinidad neighborhood and a best interior architecture award in 2009.

In 2015, marinauno was shortlisted in the prestigious Fad Awards for Architecture. More recently, the studio won two Málaga Architecture Awards in 2016 for their exceptional work on the Málaga Seminary rehabilitation and for optimizing the ascent path to the rooftops of Málaga Cathedral. Their projects consistently showcase a keen understanding of space, form, and the essential elements of design.
