Marià Castelló

Balearic Islands, Spain

Maria Castello’s architectural studio was established in February 2002 and is known for being the first in Formentera to undertake public and private initiatives. The studio puts a primer on respect for the natural landscape and territory of the Pitiusas, with an aim to preserve the balance of harmony, sustainability, serenity, and ingenuity. This is Maria Castello Architecture’s response to the constant pressure for urbanization, which most often translates to a substandard quality of architecture, that Formentera constantly receives.
The studio’s design output highlights the value of a location’s natural characteristics, with minimal interventions to achieve maximum results to elevate the quality of their clients’ space.
