LCLA Office

Oslo, Norway

LCLA OFFICE, an innovative studio specializing in architecture and landscape architecture, is co-led by Colombian architect Luis Callejas and Swedish-Norwegian architect Charlotte Hansson. Based in Oslo, the studio is renowned for projects like the aquatic center for the XI South American Games and the renovation of Colombia’s main football stadium, “El Campin.” Callejas, a respected academic, teaches at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and is a visiting professor at Harvard, while Hansson brings experience from notable Scandinavian firms. The duo’s work on the landscape for Eero Saarinen’s former US embassy in Oslo and their selection for the Norwegian Scenic Routes project highlight their international acclaim. Honors include nominations for prestigious awards like the EU Mies and the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize, alongside recognition from the Iakov Chernikhov International Foundation and the Architectural League of New York. Their influential work extends to academia, with Callejas contributing to “Pamphlet Architecture 33” and being a finalist for the Rolex mentor and protege arts initiative, illustrating the studio’s impact on contemporary architectural discourse.
