ifdesign is interested in residential, offices, interiors, urban planning, and public space, and they participated in many national and international, open and restricted competitions. Ida Origgi and Franco Tagliabue Volontè founded ifdesign in 2002 after graduating from the Faculty of Architecture of Politecnico di Milano. They won the Special Mention Architect of the Year 2016 awarded by the National Council of Italian Architects.
They were awarded the 2021 Italian Architect of the Year by the National Council of Architects. Also, the project Noivoiloro Civic Center won the 1st Prize of ECOLA AWARD 2012 for the best new architecture built in Europe. These are only some of the firm’s awards.
