Francesca Iovene

Milano, Italy

Francesca Iovene, an Italian photographer with a nomadic spirit, was born and raised in Brescia, Northern Italy. Her journey led her to study architecture in Milan, then to explore further in Valparaíso, Chile, enriching her perception of the world. Today, she runs a multidisciplinary practice, fōndaco studio, in Milan, but resides in Berlin, oscillating between Italy and Germany. Iovene strives to establish a visual dialogue with the world around her, highlighting the intricate relationships between the built environment and the natural landscape. Her work is characterized by an atmospheric quality, capturing the ephemeral nature of memories. Collaborating with architects, universities, and publishers for assignments, she also independently investigates a range of themes through her photographic research.
