Founded by brothers Kaspar and Nikolas Appels, Appels Architekten emerged as a pioneering force in the architectural realm, driven by an interdisciplinary approach that seeks to revolutionize traditional architectural and project development norms. Kaspar, with a M.Sc. from ETH Zurich and a MAS in Real Estate Management from the University of Zurich, boasts a distinguished architectural lineage, having collaborated with esteemed firms like Christ & Gantenbein Architects in Basel and Pool Architects in Zurich. His younger brother, Nikolas, a B.Sc. graduate from HES-SO, combined his expertise in International Hospitality Management & Entrepreneurship from EHL Lausanne with innovative business ventures, notably founding an AI-driven travel agency, and delving into Real Estate studies at Harvard University. Complementing this duo is Clemens Götzinger, a MA ZFH holder who refined his architectural skills at HSRM Wiesbaden and ZHAW Winterthur. Once a collaborator with Pool Architects, Götzinger joined the Appels Architekten fold in 2018, ascending to partnership by 2023. Together, with their dedicated team, they craft small to medium real estate projects embodying social, ethical, and climate-conscious ideals, a testament to their unwavering commitment to simplicity and resilience in design.
