AOMD

Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom

Founded by Michael Dillon in 2022, AOMD is a forward-thinking architecture practice with a passion for contemporary timber construction and a strong commitment to sustainability. From studios nestled in the rural Weald and Tunbridge Wells, the team takes on projects of all scales, from bespoke furniture and thoughtfully designed interiors to new homes, cultural buildings, and community masterplans. With roots in Michael’s decade at Mæ architects—where he led the award-winning Sands End Arts and Community Centre, a RIBA Stirling Prize finalist—the practice blends hands-on collaboration, creativity, and a focus on low-carbon, natural materials. AOMD values open dialogue, co-design workshops, and tactile design tools like physical models and hand drawings to bring ideas to life. Anchored by teaching and research roles at leading universities, the team remains curious and committed to designing spaces that connect deeply with their context, adapt over time, and truly stand the test of time.
