Founded by Thomas Grossi and Marco Rulli in 2014, 02A Studio began with the renovation of a small apartment in Rome’s Monteverde district. The two architects, who met during their preparation for the State Exam in 2013, combined their diverse backgrounds and a shared vision to create a space where they could freely express their ideas. Early successes in online design competitions helped them establish connections and grow their network. In 2015, the studio moved into a shared space in the Monti district, laying the foundation for its development. By 2020, they had expanded to their own studio near Piazza Lodi in San Giovanni, and two years later doubled its size to accommodate their growing team. Today, 02A Studio continues to evolve, embracing new challenges and aiming for ever-higher ambitions in architecture and design.
