Slow clothing advocate Noble Denim focuses on making the perfect jeans, using good ol’ craftsmanship and premium fabrics, with products always made in the USA. But now the brand takes things up a notch with an industry-first: the Design Your Own campaign. By providing special customization options, Noble Denim allows denim lovers to create their ideal pair of jeans, in just four steps.
First, they have to choose the fit they prefer. The classic Truman Regular has roomier thighs and a straight leg, while the Earnest Slim Straight features a slim thigh and a tapered ankle. The second step requires selecting the premium fabric among denim and canvas materials sourced from USA, Japan, and Italian mills. The styles range from khaki canvas to black selvage and charcoal denim. At the third step, the brand offers a wide selection of hardware, including classic copper or matte black. Finally, the patch. The reclaimed leather comes from Amish leather tanners and can boast various designs. A “no patch” option is also provided to vegans or to those who prefer a more minimalist look. Then it’s up to the company’s skilled sewers – many of them with over 30 years of experience – to create the one-of-a-kind pair of jeans.
Launched on Kickstarter, the brand’s campaign ends on September 7 2017. Backer packages include the $205 DYO jeans, as well as single organic t-shirts and sweatshirts or combo packs. As a bonus, all shipping within the USA is free, with international shipping costing only between $5 and $10. Photographs© Noble Denim.
