With the AW13/14 collection, Delikatessen designer Andrzej Lisowski took a lot of time to look deep into what he believes is a true value for men: exquisite fabrics, perfectly cut garments and precious buttons. This resulted in an extraordinary collection that can be compared with the Sicilian Caponata – an interesting combination of sweet and sour ingredients with a stunning and unexpected taste. Bon appetit!
Delikatessen caters to the discerning man choosing to wear subtly understated and individual garments with a dose of panache. This season the label brings a complete collection of menswear, characterized by a balance between old craft and a modern approach to design. The collection is rich in detail and the garments are made from impeccable and refined materials such as boiled wool, Italian cotton and Japanese chambray. The colors used in the collection are both sober as bold, and remarkable are the typical Delikatessen prints.
Key-items of the AW13/14 collection are the authentic Delikatessen shirts with their perfect fits and refined details. Delikatessen shirts have handsome tiny collars, hidden inner pockets and are finished with French stitches. The shirts also feature precious buttons made of olivewood and mother of pearl. The sizes are neatly embroidered in every garment – Delikatessen’s answer to often irritating size labels.
Delikatessen, launched in 2009 by Andrzej Lisowski and Stephen Hartog, focuses on designing uncomplicated menswear with a perfect fit. Their designs are a reinterpretation of traditional garments and are characterized by a love for organic shapes, rich materials and color blocking. Thanks to this fresh perspective on menswear Delikatessen was discovered by the influential platform Not Just A Label. The brand is internationally sold via Not Just a Label and has several dozen points of sale worldwide.
