MM Shark

A custom build that combines a lightweight look with the maneuverability of a dirt bike.

Established in 2015, Bali-based MalaMadre Motorcycles has completed over 100 custom builds for local and international clients. For this specific project, the workshop received a simple brief from the client. Their dream bike needed to be lightweight and modern but suitable for off-road riding with the right tire size. Named “MM Shark”, the custom build uses a 2017  Ktm 450 EXC Six Days base, but the team had to change it significantly to create the client’s ideal bike. The project started off with a 3D design, which provided the blueprint for the handcrafted build.

The team stripped down the bike cleaning and powder-coating the frame before starting the customization process. Made with aluminum parts, the bike is lightweight as well as slim and minimalist. The workshop also hid the electrics for a more clean look. For the color palette, the team kept things simple and stylish with matte black, raw silver aluminum and metallic gray hues. At the front, this Ktm 450 EXC Six Days “MM Shark” features an angular fender as well as a new LED headlight. At the rear, a radiator cover keeps the design clean.

The custom tank boasts bespoke “gills”, following the shark concept of the build. A new seat provides extra comfort while riding. Built with a 449CC engine, the bike offers 62hp. Other features include a new exhaust system with a sleek muffler, an LED taillight, and new tires. Dynamic and modern, this MM Shark is as fierce as it is gorgeous.
