Apart from looking gorgeous, the Cruiser Skateboard also provides a great example of minimalism done right. Created by designer Guilherme Wentz in a collaboration with Saint Studio, a Brazil-based slow fashion brand and multidisciplinary design studio, the skateboard reimagines a classic product as an elegant item that makes a style statement. It references 1970s designs as well as surfboards from that era, while its modern parts and build ensure versatility and comfort.
The board and the wheels are both handmade, the former from FSC-certified Tauari wood that gives Cruiser an eco-friendly vibe. Skate lovers can choose between two versions. Almost monolithic in appearance, the All Black model keeps true to its name and features a matte black finish. The Noir version boasts a natural section which displays grain textures. Both versions come with their own marks and organic patterns on the surface of the solid wood, making every Cruiser Skateboard one of a kind. But whether used as an actual skateboard or as a décor piece, this design is as memorable as they come. Photo credits: Saint Studio.
