Gian Salis

Swiss architect Gian Salis studied at ETH Zürich, where he completed his studies in 2001. In 2008, he established his eponymous architecture firm. Based in Zürich, the architect completes residential, cultural, educational, and retail projects across Switzerland. The studio’s work celebrates the local context, site’s history and the character of vernacular architecture, with designs ranging from brutalist-style buildings to modern-rustic dwellings. Gian Salis also holds lectures and research workshops at various universities, including at ETH Zürich. The architect’s work has been exhibited and published widely and has also received awards. Gian Salis currently lives and works in Zürich, Switzerland.
