Ettore Moni

Parma, Italy

Ettore Moni is a documentary photographer based in Parma, Italy. Using a large-format (4×5 and 8×10) camera, he captures the striking beauty of Italian landscapes, urban areas and the relationship between man and nature. From the haunting ‘An Empty Valley’ series which features an abandoned natural space filled with the stories of the past and of the marble miners still living there; the striking and intentionally disturbing ‘Alps’ series which shows the exploitation of pristine mountains caused by the rapid expansion of local tourism; or the ‘After Earthquake’ photographs that display human resilience in the wake of a natural disaster. Ettore Moni has published two photography books and his work has appeared in various national and international magazines.
