Artist and photographer Daniel Mirer was born in Brooklyn, NYC. He graduated from Pratt Institute and California Institute of the Arts, receiving a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for photography in 2002. He is a lecturer and artist in residence at various universities and institutions around the world, but also travels frequently within the United States and to international destinations to create his artworks. Daniel Mirer’s photographic series often feature architectural elements, with social and economic commentaries or concepts relating to human identity also appearing throughout his work. His photography has appeared in art magazines, international publications and alongside critical essays, with his artwork included in permanent museum collections in both the United States and The Netherlands.
