Carlo Ratti Associati is an international design studio focused on creating intelligent products, buildings and cities using innovative concepts, cutting-edge digital technology and efficient design solutions. Founder Carlo Ratti draws upon his research at MIT and from emerging technologies to design groundbreaking products and projects that change and improve the everyday. Notable projects include the Future Food District at Expo Milano 2015, Lift-Bit – a digitally controlled sofa, and the Digital Water Pavilion at Expo Zaragoza 2008 – named “Best Invention of the Year” by Time Magazine. The studio’s work has been exhibited at prestigious venues, including at the Venice Biennale and MoMA, and has also appeared in international publications, from The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Wired to Corriere della Sera and Domus, among many others.
