A limited-edition watch that brings more fun to the passage of time.
Created in a collaboration between Swiss watch brand Louis Erard and watch designer and architect Alain Silberstein, Le Chrono Monopoussoir is a limited-edition timepiece like no other. The fun design gives a nod to the Bauhaus and features Silberstein’s signature colorful hour, minute and second hands. The eye-catching dial also boasts the designer’s new hallmark hour hand, a red circle topped with a triangle. The blue minute hand indicates the time with an arrow, while the chronograph second hand moves in a squiggly line. Yellow, red and white markers appear raised on the edge of the matte black dial, with a matte silver counter with a red hand placed at the 12 o’clock mark.
Made from grade 2 titanium and polished grade 5 titanium, the 40mm case boasts a red chrono pusher and a see-through back. Anti-reflective sapphire crystals cover both the front and back. Inside the case, there’s a Sellita SW500 MPCa automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve. As for the strap, it’s made from black nylon and microblasted grade 2 titanium, with a hook-and-loop fastener system. Finally, a quick-release system allows the user to change the strap with ease, if needed. Limited to only 178 pieces, Le Chrono Monopoussoir Louis Erard X Alain Silberstein watch is a veritable collector’s item. It’s currently available for CHF 4500, or around $5,240.
