The Chalet Berlanger may have the face of a traditional cabin, but its interior is flourished with contemporary elements that exposes its unique qualities. It’s tucked away in the quaint surroundings of the St Martin de Belleville in the French Alps. The three-storey chalet with interior design created by Noe Duchaufour Lawrance is 530 meters with communal spaces on the top floor, a guest house and main quarters. Industrial and minimalist elements form a bond of modern wonders throughout the dwelling. The main rooms contain the living room and a large kitchen on the second floor, five bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom and WC, a jacuzzi area and a game room. The guest house has two bedrooms, two lounge areas and two bathrooms.

An oxidized steel staircase is like the fused result of the industrial and minimalist combination. This stunning staircase stands on its own, away from its neighboring wall accepting an amount of light to create a game of light and shadows throughout the day. Ease and tranquility oozes into the jacuzzi room through its mesmerizing features of gray fir and emerald blue-green Vals stone used on the walls and floor. The interior design of the second floor draws inspiration from the mountains and valleys not too far away paying tribute to its rugged nature seen within the sculptural table, fireplace and hearth centerpieces.
