As part of the FW16 collection, designer Nigel Cabourn has launched a special edition Cameraman Converse Jacket, which will soon be joined by a matching pair of Converse, yet to be released. With a career spanning over four decades, the British designer creates timeless clothing with expert craftsmanship, premium quality materials and an impressive attention to detail. Cabourn is inspired not by fashion trends, but by “either a moment in history, an inspirational person or a vintage garment.” The Cameraman Converse Jacket is made from a dry wax finished Harris Tweed material which was developed in a collaboration with waxed fabric specialists Halley Stevenson, but it also features a double Ventile layer, making it an ideal choice for all kinds of weather during the fall and winter months. The five front patch pockets provide generous space for essentials; the lower two also feature convenient side access. On the front, the iconic ‘Fireman’ clips are paired with Corozo button fasteners. The jacket also features a three-panel adjustable hood, waxed draw cords, adjustable cuffs, real leather cord locks, and an eye-catching contrast between the inner and outer fabrics. You can order it from the brand’s website in either black navy or army green. Photo credits: Nigel Cabourn.
