Lately, the e-revolution is taking the automotive world by storm. We wrote not only about innovative motorcycles, but also about practical and convenient bicycles. And now one of our favorite companies has revealed a stunning take on the eco-friendly means of urban transportation. Designed by BMW Motorrad, the Concept Link scooter has a sleek and dynamic appearance with a subtle futuristic feel. “With its timeless, reduced styling, the BMW Motorrad Concept Link is more than just a study – it is the symbol for a new era,” says Edgar Heinrich, Head of Design BMW Motorrad.

Elegant and fierce at the same time, Concept Link combines a subdued color palette of black, gray and blue tones, orange and red accents as well as clean lines, sharp angles and geometric shapes. Unsurprisingly, it backs its good looks with plenty of substance. As the brand explains, the prototype blends “the challenges of urban mobility of tomorrow with the opportunities of a digitalized world,” while also making the most of both digital and analogue features. Full connectivity, an electric drive and zero emissions make the scooter ideal for the metropolis environment.

The visionary concept takes connectivity to another level, allowing riders to quickly plan their routes using the touch screen panel. The windscreen doubles as a second screen, displaying speed, navigation and battery information. Intelligent clothing is also taken into account. The door of the luggage compartment can open in a sliding motion with a simple gesture. Revealed at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2017 in Italy, Concept Link is currently a prototype. But we can’t wait to see this sleek electric scooter on the streets. Photo credits: BMW Motorrad.
