View all 7 Photos

Sleek and curved, these birdhouses draw inspiration from mid-century modern design. The backyard decor is handmade in Charlotte, North Carolina, by Mark Ellis of KoolBird. Each piece is individually crafted from tropical hardwoods such as Mexican Cocobola and South American Canary, scrap material salvaged from the a floor-making company. The wooden form is shelled in polyurethane and hangs from a metal chain.
