Designer, horologist, and visual artist John Beck McConnico founded Bespoke Watch Projects in 2013. The Oakland, California-based brand creates timepieces in limited editions, taking inspiration from classic as well as modern designs. Believing that “a wristwatch is an extension of one’s personality—an emotional form of expression as well as a pragmatic one,” Bespoke Watch Projects collaborates with its customers to bring every made-to-order mechanical watch to life. Sophisticated and timeless, the timepieces provide various customization options. These include not only the case finish and strap, but also the dial design and movement.
Super 60 blends vintage influences with a sleek, contemporary design. Hand assembled in the USA, the limited edition watch boasts an enamel-filled and engraved dial that reminds of vintage gauges. The case measures 44mm; it comes with a range of finish options, including stainless steel, brushed gold, polished rose gold, or black PVD. Inside, the 17-jewel hand wound movement remains visible through the transparent case at the back. Customers can also upgrade their timepiece with a domed sapphire crystal, a limited edition black PVD movement, or a decorated Swiss ETA movement. Other customization options include the hands design, the dial – in silver or bronze – as well as various leather straps, stitching and edge colors. Pricing for the Super 60″ Mechanical Wristwatch starts at $740, with each hand-built watch taking between 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Images courtesy of Bespoke Watch Projects.
