A new Baltic dive watch designed with a dual-crown compressor case.
Following on the success of the Aquascaphe watches, Baltic has added a brand-new model to the popular collection. Named Aquascaphe Dual-Crown, this dive watch features the brand’s first compressor case. The 316L stainless steel case measures 39 mm in diameter and has a dual-crown design. One crown adjusts the time and winds the movement, while the other adjusts the internal bezel even underwater, without compromising the timepiece’s water resistance of 200m or 20 ATM.
The bidirectional internal bezel allows the user to measure the dive time easily thanks to a 60-minute gradation and a triangle marker at 12 o’clock. To move the bezel, the user needs to place the crown at 2 o’clock; this eliminates the risk of accidental adjustments. To enhance legibility, the company used the BGW9 luminescent coating that covers both the hands and the indexes. Coupled with the uncluttered dial that focuses on essential information, the watch ensures optimal readability even in the dark. A sapphire crystal covers the dial and protects the timepiece from scratches. Finally, the Miyota 9039 automatic movement has a 42-hour power reserve.
As elegant as it is practical, the The Baltic Aquascaphe Dual-Crown features different finishes: brushed hands, polished chamfers, a special “brushed tourbillon” finish on the fixed bezel, and circular brushed lugs. The watch comes in Blue, Black, and PVD Black versions. Available to pre-order price at a price of €550, or around $660, the first 300 watches are numbered. Photographs© Baltic Watches.
