Last fall, Brooklyn-based Greats launched a couple of vibrant colorways for the Hirsh silhouette. Now the brand announced this year’s surprise for the upcoming colder season: the original sneaker Bab gets a 2017 makeover. The lightweight Bab V2 sneaker (only 18oz!) features a cleaner shoe design but the same cool aesthetic that made it so popular in the first place. Fans can relax knowing that the second version features the same ultralight mesh upper and runner-style silhouette as well as the honeycomb insole. But this sneaker hides more under its good looks. The brand took inspiration from cutting-edge alpine jackets to upgrade the design, making Bab V2 a perfect blend of style and function.
New features include high-frequency tape on the seams for more durability, heat transfer details which replace classic stitching, and grosgrain pull-tabs. Launched on August 10, Bab V2 comes in four colorways: black, white, navy, and muted green – all available at $79 on the brand’s official website. Photographs© Greats.
