WalzWerk-Racing is motorcycle workshop based in Mannheim, Germany. Apart from selling exclusive bikes, the independent company specializes in building prototypes and concept motorcycles for famous brands. Well-known clients include Triumph and Yamaha. But one of WalzWerk-Racing’s latest designs stands out from the rest. The Atacama 700 bike is as versatile as it is elegant and powerful. It can take its owner through city streets as well as through winding mountain roads, looking fantastic in both scenarios.
Based on the Yamaha XSR700, the Atacama 700 and 700 S models have a distinctive personality and aesthetic. They come with a two-cylinder in-line engine that delivers 80bhp, JvB front and side fenders, adjustable footrests, ABM brakes and clutch levers, SC-Project exhaust system, front and rear LED lights, as well as a custom paint finish. The S model also features extra equipment, including a 520 racing chain, a K&N racing filter, and Wilbers progressive fork springs and mono-shock, among others.
Made to order and assembled by hand, the bikes take from 8 to 10 weeks to reach their new owners. The company produces only 12 units per year. The prices range from around $17,800 for the Atacama 700 to $20,000 for the S model, with all taxes and shipping costs included. Photo credits: WalzWerk-Racing.
