A coffee table book filled with previously unpublished photos from NASA’s archives.
The 50th anniversary of the first moon landing falls on July 2019. Ahead of the event, leading book publisher teNeues launches APOLLO VII-XVII. The coffee table book features previously unpublished photos as well as info relating the Apollo missions. The foreword was written by former NASA astronaut Walter Cunningham, the Lunar Module pilot on the Apollo 7 mission. To bring the project to life, authors Floris Heyne, Joel Meter, Simon Phillipson, and Delano Steenmeijer searched through NASA’s extensive archives. From around 27,000 images, the best 225 have made it into the book.
Captured by the astronauts, the digitized images paint a vivid picture of the Apollo space missions and the events that have left a deep mark on modern history. Apart from the 225 color and b/w photographs, the readers will also discover little-known insider info about the missions. A great book for space travel aficionados as well as photography and modern history fans. Buy here. Photographs© The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) photographic archives.
