Animal Sculptures Made of Repurposed Furniture

View all 11 Photos

French artist Marc Sparfel has heard the call of the wild and is answering with a creative, regenerative response. His latest endeavors repurpose abandoned furniture into wooden animal sculptures, the collection running the gamut from agile antelopes to proud lions. Each collage is composed of handpicked elements occasionally bearing traces of their former lives, and the elegant, organic curves of every limb, hoof, and snout introduce an extra spark of life. Though the silhouettes are one step removed from the realistic, small details inherent in the wooden pieces outline tufts of fur and little smiles on the faces of the menagerie.
