Brooks has been designing and manufacturing high quality products for cyclists since 1866. To celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary in style, New York-based Tokyobike has created an ultra-limited edition of the Mini Velo bike, in a collaboration with Japanese master bike builder Osamu Fukuda. The frames are all handmade in Japan by Mr. Fukuda, a third generation custom frame builder. Impressive craftsmanship and various custom details make the bikes truly stand out, especially the gleaming copper accents that complement the RAL 3012 beige red color beautifully. Along with the Brooks anniversary Swift saddle and leather grips, these Mini Velo bikes have copper rails, rivets, and flanges, internal cable routing, and Brooks decals.
Made in a limited edition of 10, each bicycle comes with a numbered copper plate; the first three are currently available to buy in the US from the Tokyobike boutique and worldwide from the Brooks 1886 stores. Priced at $3,000, this special edition Mini Velo is a must-have for collectors or anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship in a design that is truly one of a kind. Images courtesy of Tokyobike.
