No.One’s Alpha Sardinia Desert Boot

View all 4 Photos

A handcrafted shoe that deconstructs the desert boot.

Made by Los Angeles-based No.One, Alpha Sardinia deconstructs one of the most popular footwear designs ever made: the desert boot. A celebration of the classic footwear, the shoe maintains its military roots but also incorporates fresh details in an exquisite construction. Like all No.One footwear, Alpha Sardinia pays homage to traditional craftsmanship while incorporating modern fabrication techniques. The upper boasts a Champagne Suede material with a beautiful texture as well as full grain aniline reverse side leather for the lining. Apart from their natural textures, the materials will also patina with wear to develop more character.

The Alpha Sardinia desert boot comes with a hand-shaped EVA midsole that offers both more comfort and more durability. The white sole adds a touch of contrast while brightening the boot’s sandy-hued palette. Other features include hand stitching on the vegetable tanned leather lasting board with the Alpha box stitch construction. Hand lasted on the Alpha V.1 last, the alpha is then left to cure in the bright California sun for up to 5 days. Finally, the brand ships this limited-edition footwear with brown leather laces. If you want to order the Alpha Sardinia desert boot, keep in mind that it’s a one-time design. And it’s a special one, both in terms of craftsmanship and materials, with a price tag to match.
