Eco-friendly notebooks specially designed to enhance your writing, drawing, and sketching in different ways.

Award-winning British manufacturer AJOTO merges traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge engineering to design and produce high-quality stationery that enhance the users’ creative experiences. Indeed, the independent company aims to make choosing a notebook similar to picking a good wine or specialty coffee. By putting the focus on the tactile qualities of different types of paper, AJOTO notebooks change the way users interact with the pages, ultimately altering creative gestures in subtle yet also profound ways. Launched through Kickstarter, the AJOTO Pocket Paper Notebooks & Covers collection offers a new way to interact with a simple, ordinary item: a piece of blank paper. The range comprises three notebooks that each provide something different.

The Nº1 notebook has 114 pages made from specialty Italian paper. Smooth and soft, the pages have a subtle texture for a tactile feel and a natural white tone. Acid-free and bleed-resistant, the paper also dries quickly. This notebook is extremely versatile and suits anything from rollerball and gel pens to graphite and most water-based brush markers. Perfect for fountain pens, the Nº2 notebook boasts silky smooth Italian paper that allows nibs to flow on the page. Quick-drying, bleed-resistant and lightweight, the 126 pages are also thick enough for two-sided use. While ideal to use with fountain pens, this notebook is also great for gel ink pens, colored pencils, and Japanese ink. Finally, the Nº3 edition comes with heavy-weight stock that boasts a soft felt texture. The 62 pages work great with pens, fountain pens, and colored pencils as well as watercolor, calligraphy dip pens, and more.

Beautifully made notebooks and accessories.

All three notebooks showcase the brand’s dedication to quality and sustainability. Made with paper sourced from Italian mills, the notebooks are then printed and bound in the UK. The pages open flat and come together with a traditional section-sewing technique. Free of excessive detailing, the AJOTO Pocket Paper notebooks feature a black cover made of uncoated 350gsm Italian stock.

The collection also includes the Pocket Paper Cover, which offers extra protection and transforms the notebooks into refills. Crafted from full-grain vegetable tanned Italian leather, the covers have a distinctive cord-locking system. While the leather covers come in Black or Tan colors, the cords come in Blaze Orange, Khaki Green, Desert Sand, and Black Night versions. Additionally, a leather tool loop with two slots offers an easy way to attach writing and drawing utensils directly on the notebook. The AJOTO Pocket Paper Notebooks & Covers Kickstarter campaign is already a huge success. If you want to become a backer, you can pledge your support until September 30, 2023.
