Air Out Your Gear with the Aer Gym Duffel

As some brave souls are still committed to their New Years resolutions to get into shape, they’ll find that the hard work often produces some well-deserved perspiration. And while it’s perfectly normal that a typical gym routine will result in sweaty footwear and clothing, for the longest time the only solution for carrying these things around afterwards has been to sacrifice a bag to perpetual funk, making it more difficult to fit a trip to the gym into a normal routine. But with their introduction of the new Gym Duffel, the San Francisco-based deign company Aer hopes to bring a game changer to the world of gym equipment, with a duffel that finally won’t be ruined by your smelly shoes.

Thanks to specialty ventilated mesh compartments, including one perfectly sized to fit any normal sized shoe (sorry Shaq), the Gym Duffel offers unparalleled breathability to let your gear air out. The pouch’s lining is also water resistant to help ensure that even after the most rigorous of workouts your bag will stay dry and odorless. But along with helping to keep the stink away, the bag also stylishly offers space for all your other gym needs, with a dedicated water bottle holder, additional pockets for small accessories and gear, and a whole separate compartment in which you can store your clean clothes pristinely. The front also features a quick access pocket for small items such as your phone and wallet, with a waterproof lining and zipper to make sure these valuables stay valuable. And while bearing in mind all the pragmatic appeal the Gym Duffel has, Aer has also put considerable effort into making what could be a simply functional product beautiful as well, with a sleek design that makes it a versatile enough bag to be even used as a spacious piece of carry-on luggage. The Gym Duffel offers a 32L volume without even seeming bulky, and is available for pre-order to be shipped in mid-March. So say goodbye to funky bags and hello to the Gym Duffel.
