A hand-built, automatic coffee grinder you can customize with a dedicated app.
Grinding your own coffee beans makes any cup of freshly brewed coffee taste better. With the Acaia Orbit grinder, this task becomes easier as well as more enjoyable. Created to streamline the coffee making experience, this automatic coffee grinder provides a convenient solution to prepare single-dose or larger quantities of ground coffee beans. Not to mention that it looks gorgeous in any kitchen thanks to a minimalist, subtly futuristic design by Weber Workshops that makes it resemble a lab microscope.
While designed for single-dosing, the Acaia Orbit has a multi-purpose hopper that acts as an adapter for the brand’s larger hoppers, which go up to a 2 kg capacity. A knocking chute and an automatic cleaning feature minimize retention. Additionally, the grinder works perfectly with the Acaia Lunar scale to provide an extra-precise and consistent grind-by-weight experience. A stepless adjustment dial allows for effortless and smooth grind control. The flat steel burrs come in three versions. The Mazzer 33M burrs are perfect for classic espresso or filter coffee, while the SSP 64 mm burrs work best for modern espresso and high-clarity brews. Alternatively, the SSP Lab Sweet V3 burrs that come with the Space Gray version of Orbit suit a wide variety of coffee.
Easy to access with a smartphone, the dedicated app offers access to a range of settings. Users can customize their workflow by adjusting the grinding speed from 600 to 1500 RPM; access the grind-by-weight function that works with the Lunar scale; set the coarseness of the grinds for different types of coffee; and save custom profiles.
Hand-built with care, every Orbit undergoes a rigorous testing process to ensure it works perfectly. Finally, this coffee grinder is energy-efficient. The Acaia Orbit grinder comes in three versions: Space Gray, Beige White and Black. All come with a 58 mm dosing cup in a matching color, an accessory tool kit, and a set of magnetic strips for the Lunar scale.
