“A Flowering Theory,” a film collaboration between designer Stefanie Posavec and animator Abbie Stevens, explores Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species in still life. Starring paper leaves stitched with blue thread, the film casts survival of the fittest in a unique artistic vision. Airing tonight, “A Flowering Theory” is the latest segment in Protein’s Random Acts. Viewers in the UK can catch it at 00:55AM on Channel 4.
