Beauty can be found in the ordinary, and through his photographer’s lens, Justin Keena captures the hidden treasures that might have slipped past unnoticed. The San Francisco-based photographer fills his portfolio with lifestyle shots, portraits, and candids, many of which highlight California’s skate culture and sunny environment. In “Lake” two swimmers are frozen in motion by the click of the shutter; the two bodies instigators of ripples across the background of navy blue. Stunning action shots including a daring skateboarder in “Skate” and mid-air body poised above a cliff in “Jump” frame the freedom, passion, and excitement that can fill the everyday life.
