Shumis Pizzeria by Opa Studio

View all 5 Photos

Located in an industrial area of Rishon-Lezion, Israel, the Shumis Pizzeria designed by Opa Sdudio is the perfect blend of budget savvy design, recycled materials and American pop culture. The basic concept is to walk in the shoes of potential pizza consumers, who know pizza isn’t the healthiest good in the world but at least they want to enjoy it. The space has a strong color palette and is filled with inexpensive, accessible materials. Half is coated with repeated patterns of recycled tomato sauce cans; the other half features plywood walls and cut out forms. A dramatic space is created through the usage of strong colors and styles, enhancing the customers’ experience.
