Where artisan chocolate meets creative design.

Based in Reykjavík, Iceland, Omnom is the brainchild of chef Kjartan Gíslason, who partnered with his childhood friend Óskar Þórðarson to establish the brand in 2013. The company makes small batch artisan chocolate using only premium ingredients. The cocoa beans arrive from local farms in Madagascar, Tanzania, and Nicaragua, while the can sugar comes from a sustainably and ethically grown sugar near São Paolo, Brazil. Other ingredients include Icelandic milk and sea salt as well as caramel, orange, hazelnut, or coffee. The award-winning Omnom chocolate ranges from ultra-dark to white and almost everything in between. Apart from the classics, chocolate that combines mango and passion fruit or dark cocoa nibs and raspberry is also available.

Before tasting the high-quality chocolate though, one gets an introduction to the brand via the gorgeous design. The animal and nature-inspired themes combine with bright colors and geometrical patterns. The bars themselves, tempered to perfection, boast sharp lines and angles, mirroring the patterns on the packaging. Inside, the printed foil adds that perfect finishing touch, showing the brand’s impressive attention to every little detail. Currently, Omnom only ships its products within Iceland. Which means that you have an extra reason to pack your bags and go on an adventure. And if you’re visiting Reykjavík and want to get a taste of chocolate making, you can also book a factory tour on the brand’s website. Photographs© Omnom Chocolate.
