The Time Glass Watch

View all 9 Photos

Living in the moment.

Inspired by Zen philosophy, the new Time Glass watch boasts a creative and thoughtful design. Japanese brand TACS used the concept of grains of sand slipping through an hourglass to create the timepiece, simplifying the lines to their purest form in order to convey a deeper message. The passage of time, translated into an artistic design that aims to move away from the past or the future by highlighting the power of now.

The curves of the concave dial are reminiscent of an hourglass, reminding the wearer to enjoy every moment and to live in the present. Ultra-minimal and refined, the wristwatch combines smooth lines and graceful curves. Hand-bent parabolic hour and minute hands fit naturally over the concave face, with the curved and smooth sides of the 42mm case also reminding of the shape of an hourglass.

The watch features a brand-new Ronda movement created by TACS in collaboration with the Swiss company, giving the case its distinctive crownless design that also ensures maximum comfort. An ingenious push button at the center of the back case allows the user to adjust the time setting. Time Glass also comes with Italian genuine leather straps in brown or black, which perfectly complement the silver and black dials, respectively. Available here.
