Elegant Barcelona Apartments Designed for Tourists

View all 10 Photos

Situated just off Passeig del Born, a few minutes away from the Picasso Museum and the Modern Art Museum and just 20 minutes away on foot from the nearest beach, the Borne Apartments Barcelona (Decimonónico) provide stylish accommodation for tourists in a prime location. Completed by the Mesura architecture and design studio, the apartments are located in a 19th century building near the historical center of this popular European metropolis.
The four separate spaces each occupy their own floor and are designed with a distinct appearance and personality, but they are all linked by a similar aesthetic. The same warm natural materials are used throughout, with wooden beams, floors, and furniture contrasted by rough surfaces on the ceilings and on the exposed brick walls. The overall atmosphere is comfortable and warm. Elegant accent furniture creates focal points effortlessly in the minimalist spaces. The color palette is dominated by shades of brown, with modern pieces of furniture and designer chairs adding a touch of contemporary style to the interior. In one apartment, bright white surfaces are used generously in the kitchen area, while in others chic gray and black tones complement the warm brown tones. On the roof of the building, Mesura designed a large terrace where the guests can enjoy breakfast in the morning or a cocktail at night, enjoying the view of the vibrant Barcelona cityscape.
