Hello Nello: A Bike Bell for the Modern Commuter

View all 8 Photos

Challenged to create a bike bell that was both pocket-portable and sturdy enough to stay strapped in while you spin, Odo Fioravanti envisioned “Nello” — a magnetically mounted bell reduced to the shape of “a friendly little ball.” The engaging design can easily be pulled from an elastic strap, while a magnetic connection ensures it will remain secure on your daily commute – and each time it’s detached, Nello will rotate between three possible rings so the user has the option to choose from a variety of sounds that can reach up to 80 db. Simply activated by gently tapping the top of the sphere, the straight-forward function and durable weather-resistant form present a streamlined update to a commuter cyclist’s essential.  See more of Fioravanti’s work here.
